When you buy black truffles, they may arrive with a thin layer of soil, this being the most natural way to receive the product. If so, they will have to be brushed under the tap to remove the last remnants of our fields that are still attached to them. Or, we can brush and wash it for you, in addition to ultrasonic disinfection. In any case, our advice is to consume it as soon as possible to appreciate its qualities in their maximum splendor.
Conservation of fresh black truffle
After purchasing the black truffle and receiving it, we do not recommend that the black truffle be stored in the refrigerator for more than 7 days. If you plan to keep it longer, a good idea is to freeze it and consume it, always keeping the part that is not going to be consumed again in the freezer. If you choose this way of consumption, you should never defrost the truffle completely. The correct steps are: remove from the freezer, grate on the plate just before eating and quickly return the rest to the freezer.
